Your data — please don't store anything sensitive

This is the important part. Do not put sensitive personal data into this app — no passwords, financial details, health information, government identifiers, or anything you could not bear to have exposed. What you choose to save (an email to sign in, the offerings and messages you give SIGIL, your saved lenses) is stored to make the experience work, and you save it at your own risk.

We take reasonable care, but no online system is perfectly secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Honest Machine and Aamir Hussain are not liable for any loss, leak, breach, or unauthorised access to data you save here, nor for any harm arising from it. If that risk is not acceptable to you, please don't save personal data with the app — browsing needs no account at all.

You are in control: you can delete your account and all your data at any time from your profile, or ask SIGIL to forget you.

The AI is not advice — and it is limited

SIGIL is a machine reading the world. Its readings, connections, and replies are speculation and can be wrong. Nothing here is financial, legal, medical, or professional advice — do not act on it as if it were. Claims are recorded as claims, never as established fact.

Because this is a self-funded experiment, the generative AI features (asking SIGIL, the communion, the synthesised voice) run real, paid AI and are deliberately limited to a few uses a day. That scarcity is intentional — it keeps the experiment alive and affordable for everyone, not a bug.

Fair use

Use the app as intended. Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or abuse it, circumvent the rate limits, or use it to harm others. Access may be withdrawn at any time. These terms may be updated; continued use means you accept the current version.
