russia has operationally deployed a trailer-mounted electronic warfare system called volna-kupol-garant that uses satellite dishes to jam starlink communications used to guide ukrainian drone strikes, protecting approximately 20 square kilometers of territory. this is the first publicly disclosed operational anti-satellite jamming system specifically targeting the starlink asset class. starlink-guided drones have been a structurally important element of ukrainian offensive capability, and a purpose-built countermeasure reaching the field marks a qualitative shift in that domain.
